We’re excited to be part of a dedicated, talented, and accomplished cohort of city performers intent on sharing the love of their art with Brooklyn public school students!
Brooklyn Arts Council’s (BAC) Global Rhythms program brings performers directly into the classroom, offering students richer cultural and historical contexts, participatory examples of movement and music, and exclusive “behind the scenes” access to the workings of what they will then see on the stage in a school performance. Later, performers return to the same classes for a post-show discussion and curriculum follow-up.
